We first met Jean in Ghana in the late 1960s when she and Frank were teaching there. She was a breath of fresh air, particularly for Liz who was a bored diplomatic wife in Accra. Jean started a madrigal group in our house which occasionally performed - which was a tonic for us all. We kept up with her in Marlborough and Devizes in later years, and David saw her regularly in the Bach Choir. We will miss her a lot.
